Culture Night was launched in 1993 and has been Denmark’s biggest annual one-day cultural event for more than 30 years
On the Friday before the Autumn Holidays, more than 200 culture and arts institutions opening their doors and offer the public an unforgettable evening in the rich and diverse world of culture.Since 2019 we have also welcomed young visitors to Family Culture Night which is the children’s very own Culture Night.
Culture Night receives no funding from either the state or local authorities. All revenue comes from the sale of Culture Night Passes, and any surplus is used exclusively to organize cultural events for the following year’s Culture Night in Copenhagen and Frederiksberg.
